You're done. Look for new heads.
The new Mex 043 heads use 3/4" long plugs instead of 1/2" for this very reason. More meat means less chance of cracks. CB 044 heads also use long reach plugs, and they go with smaller M12 motorcycle plugs, again, to prevent this.
If you're thinking of 10:1 CR, you will need the benefits of long reach plugs.

He's building a era correct engine so new heads are not really what he wants. Talk to Darren, maybe he has some insight on repair work

geoff is correct the 311 heads are the only options on my engine build sheet, i do have a set of o44s for a 2332 back home, they are decent heads and and can totally see the difference and advantages to those heads, i will send darren a pm and see the other head is looking great! and im really excited about these!
