Who steals a 1995 Ford F150? Seriously!?!
(https://airspeedparts.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Ffarm7.staticflickr.com%2F6202%2F6074041218_5e5a3fe528_b.jpg&hash=eedac2dd61c765567d3b1e661d13d98ffa13a25c)
RCMP knocked on my door late this morning asking a lot of questions about my truck, where I keep it, who's allowed to drive it, etc. etc. I had let a buddy drive it home Monday night, and it was stolen outside his place. They recovered the truck this morning before he and I even knew it was gone. Thieves were clearly not pros, apparently pried open one or both doors, and broke the ignition cylinder. Stereo ripped out of the dash and who knows what else is damaged.
Sounds like the damage will be covered by insurance, but I'm out a truck (which we use lots for mountain biking) while the RCMP finger print it and the bodyshop repairs it. Find out on Thursday when I meet with the adjuster.

= Crack heads You can thank your local drug dealers for that.
Hope all goes well for you.

It was used in a crime.

that sucks,.. they also took the subs in the custom box and your 12 cd changer,..right?!?!?

Thankfully the trailer and car weren't connected to it.

Exactly. A crime to make a quick buck for crack. It's funny. The crack will be smoked within hours but the cost of ICBC, body shops, police hours, etc. will drag on for weeks far out waying what the crack cost in the first place. Maybe we should just be supplying the crack for free. Might be cheaper all around.

Got to see the truck when I went to get my riding gear out of the tool box. Wasn't able to get too close (hasn't been finger printed yet), but based on what I saw I think it was kids...or at the very least unskilled car thieves! Truck was found 2 streets over from where it was taken, and they must have been interrupted while stripping it down. Dash is torn apart, ignition smashed, but the stereo deck which was torn out is sitting on the seat. That means my 2 10" subs, box and AMP are likely still with the truck. Apparently there has been a rash of these types of things in Squamish within hte last two weeks, so my truck is getting the full forensic treatment due to the deck and other shiny items being left behind.

Wow give the RCMP some credit there . Fingerprinting and old truck . I'll tell you in Vancouver VPD wouldn't waste there time with it . Had a car ripped off , found later . No fingerprinting , just call ICBC simple police report .

it's because this is the first auto theft in 5 years in sqwampton !!.. there a little excited to dust off the fingerprinting kit !!... j/k
glad it all worked out, really hope they get these idiots.
