Used to do it all the time. What are you wondering about? Hook it up to the front beam, hook it up to the tow vehicles hitch, run some lights to the back of the the car being towed and your off. Dont lock the steering wheel, the car will follow you nicely. As far as I understand it, the car being towed must have insurance.

towed my beetle from the okanagan to the gcvws last summer. 120 kph over the coqihalla. no prob! tow it to and from the drag strip too. also use my towbar on my baja bug to and from the bush. my old 83 parisienne with a smogger 305 hauled them around with ease. just don't try a panick stop!  best 100 bucks i ever spent. for trailer lights just scotch lock a trailer wiring harness onto the stock brake lights and running lights.

The last time I checked you could use a tow bar with anything as long as the towed vehicle doesn't exceed 1400kgs (Then it or the tow dolly needs brakes) To be sure I would check Ministry of transport

Don't try to back up with the tow bar/car attached.
