Hello, quick intro, lots of old junk kicking around my yard but driving a 65 bus as my daily. Don't know any other VW guys in Penticton especially as Thrasher Bill is leaving again. I just got told about this forum on the KCW forum so now I'm double dipping.

Hi,I bought my 65 Panel in Salmon Arm. Yes Bill is here, but going back to Van in a week or so. Couldn't afford the Sunshine Tax.

Well, I'm just taken my bus off the road to do some lowering and install the 5 speed 911 tranny, brakes hubs etc etc. I'm going to try and take some pics of my progress as I'll be going into new territory. I'm using a narrowed wagonswest beam and hybrid porsche/bus spindles which will be fairly straight forward, but the tranny install, steering box raise etc, will be all new to me. Here it is as it stands yesterday. Right now I'm about a clutch cable away from beam removal.

Welcome with your VW van. There a bunch of us here in the sunny Okanagan. One of these days we will all converge!!!!
-
Thanks Getgeoff, an Okanagan convergence sounds like a good idea.
I've got the beam out, now its time to start stripping it apart. A motorcycle lift is a godsend for beam or engine removal.
