agreed! ive got my panties outta their knots now, CONGRATS dave and the DVKK but really does the 100 mile club allow for around corners?
you guys got a good one, did lots for our club throughout his time with us, take care our friend and ya better get that fat girl in the mags!!
-
Good choice by the DVKK.
Congratulations Dave.
I heard there could be run on super beetles from the DVKK'ers. Start raising prices now. :band1:
-
Supers are more like training wheels for new members, once they figure out what's cool... then, and only then can they step up to a early cool car.
-
Yup! A big thank you to the crew for voting me in. I'll try not to dilute the club too badly with my love of late models, German-Look and rally cars. ;) But think of it this way: when I go sliding sideways into the forest and wrap my new build around a tree...won't we all be a little bit thankful it's a '71 and not an early? :D

thats not how i remember it ,as far as i remember in the "code of aircooled " handbook it states
" if a current member leaves one club to join another club ,that person before receiving there NEW colors needs to prove themselves worthy by lining up against the "WOK " and running in the 12's at over 100 mph and watching the club they left cross the line first "
or it may be something like that .
Congrates Dave and see you at mission
-
More like the "Wok" has to race down a gravel road at 80 mph and take a hard left followed by a soft right......... Then see who's still right side up!

ok he wins , give him the colors but no 100 mph sticker

Unless he posts video proof of running 100mph on a gravel road!

100mph on a gravel road wouldnt be difficult...if it's long enough & straight enough. we need a distance and/or time regulation for it to be legit.
1/4 mile dirt strip!! that would be badazz!!
-
There will be no 100mph sticker on my car unless in earn it, in the proper manner, and have a time slip to prove it.
:)

there could be a "The Official 100kmh Club" sticker though (if i ever get my s#!t together and make them ;))...because you ran that car in the 2011 SMC, in the proper manner, and have a time slip to prove it!

How about a compromise and we take it to the salt flats and do a 100mph in the standing mile?
I smell an adventure.

done the squirelly wiggle at mission at 80 and up quite a few times . i think i will try my best to avoid it if possible
-
...now try it for an entire event, at night, in the winter, with a former friend white knuckled beside you.
