just wanted to thank both clubs and everyone else involved for another absolutely amazing weekend.
i can only imagine the amount of time and energy that goes into putting a weekend of festivities like this together.
a pat on the back to you all for a top notch show.
some highlights for me were arriving at mission just in time to see darren k's 11.67 pass, and later watching lanny undercoat his rear fenders with the new \"firestone bullet-proof under coating\" in the burn-out competition.
the dvkk hospitality at airspeed on saturday was first rate. apparently there was a \"dirty\" pancake, but i missed it, i got to see herr pie (the car) for the first time. cool ride bill. good eats, chats and hanging out.
my favourite cars at the show were the 56 ragtop of mr. pelegrino (cant remember his first name) and cameron shoreys 67. that 56 is clean. i was drooling. buddy hale paint and cool mount for the holleyfuel pump. cam's car is tough looking. i totally love that colour and the set up is just mean.
it was a tough weekend for me and my girl 'cause it was our first vw outing without my vw. damn. i sure did get alot of inspiration though.
hope everyone had as good a time as i did. if you need me, i'll be in the garage thrashing on the 56.
cheers

I had a great time this weekend it's nice to see all the rides out. I agree the 56 ragtop was really nice. I also like how the holleyfuel pump was installed. I mite have to install my pump that way in my car when the time comes it looked awesome. It would have been nice to see a few more runs out of Jims turbo 65 beetle :D

*moni gives the nod to dvkk guys and bulliboys*
yes, a job well done all! great work, i had a gravy time.
the only part that was a little disappointing was :mullet: hunting; only found possible contenders and they were sketchy at best. i'll have pics developed after cali, and post 'em then...
again, thanks!!!

I found the weekend to be excellent overall. Friday night was a blast - I'm sure glad the bugs didn't come out!!! (the flying biting kind) Saturday was cool, it's nice to meet the people that own the cars and being such a small area you were able to do that. I got to talk to the owner of the 56 rag for quite some time (i forgot his name) but wow what a nice car, there were some really nice custom pieces on it (which I will add to my inventory of stuff to make) Did ya see his brake fluid resevoir? No more hunting down 67 only ones!!!
And what could you possibly say about Sunday but holy crap!!! what a show, I was a little dissapointed with the swap, I thought I would be the only one selling crappy stuff but it seemed like everyone was!
And what's with the weather, I am so damned sunburned that it hurts to have a shower!!!!
Congrats Geoff and crew, hardly wait till next year!!! (and yes my car will be complete, and the smack talk will be backed up)
BTW hey Brian - I got a case of piss water with your name on it, we'll drink it at Matt and Jen's house warming party.

What was sweet was that early pass in the 11's and then watching a dozen or so 5-liter beaters churning out 13's and 14's. Made a bit of a statement I would say.

I have to get my two cents in here. I want to thank the DVKK and Bulli boys for putting on a great event. It seems to get better and better evey year. Well organized and just a blast! Hats off to every one involved. Now if I just had my beer here right now I would propose a toast!

All of your hard work paid off again!!! The show was great at usual guys!!!! Thanks again for letting me present the \"special\" award, geoff!
although geoff- thanks also for volunteering me for the bug stuff.... :o I think however two years in a row was enough ^_^

Yeah the bug stuff is fun...............if your on the outside watching. Notice how i'm always the one putting people in but never in there myself;-) No way in hell im getting in there with all those stinky feet.
We have plans for a even bigger event next year with a few live bands and maybe a full Bug in style race day. We will keep you posted as the plans come together.

That Bug in idea sounds good, but looks like you guys will have to find a biiger place next year. That turnout must have been some sort of record. I do have a question regarding the results of the show, Im wondering if the results will be posted. Thanx again Brian

Why Brian, did you win something?

Just a Great 5 days! It was a killer time and I'm sure it will be talked about for awhile.
The only drag was driving home Sunday nite, :( , and I'm almost caught up on sleep and energy.
