Title: Collector Plates on '78 Westy?

I'd like to get collector plates for my '78 Westfalia.  I have a '64 bus with collector plates so I know the basics of the application.  I noticed in the application it says no "camperized vehicles", but I assume that this is in regards to home made conversions, as I'm sure I have seen a bay westfalia or two with collector plates around. 
Also, should I have to top up or top down for the photos?

No problem as it was a factory option, there's quite a few with them already, I've even seen a few OTW's with collector plates so a precident has already been set.
I'm not sure on the photo staging question but they're looking for upholstery and headliner flaws so one showing the canvas can't hurt IMO.
