I have a '65 Bug that we're working to restore with a completion date of early summer. We pulled the body, sanded her down and started the sandblast and the poor thing is perferated! Looking for a new tub/body '63-'67. Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated. I'll owe ya one! thanks for reading.
convertibles or original sunroofs are always nicer :)

Bruce is right . So with that you have 2 choices learn to weld or dig deep in your pockets :D
Realisticly buying a welder and taking a kms tools class on welding. And some how to info from the guys on this forum on bracing before you cut would be cheaper than paying someone. As for buying a good shell I don't know what that would be price wise these days I haven't seen one of that vintage in good shape for awhile. Good luck
Cheers

Stephan Feeg had Hoosiers old shell for sale. Good solid heater channels, a good donor, possibly a 61-62? From the US.

1963 out of California with a rag top - hummina, hummina!! B-E-A-utiful!!
gonna need to post some pictures, we've got the pans and undercarriage coated and color paint matached. starting to look sharp! She's getting her disk brakes on soon and a little engine cleaning and tinkering.... we've gotta start making decisions on interior! thinking of custom solid white low backs. Also, I want to put a 'W' back on her and a safari window. Need to start sourcing those out.
getting ready for the show in August.
