Title: New VW Club/forum For Nanaimo BC
Post by: nanaimovwclub on March 30, 2011, 10:03:27 AM: We have started a new Volkswagen club in nanaimo www.nanaimovwclub.com

This forum is not only about events its also about building a larger Volkswagen Community on Vancouver island. Hopefully we can all work together and make Vancouver islands Volkswagen community safe and enjoyable for everyone. This is a water and air cooled forum everyone is welcome to join... lets get something started and get this club off the ground.

Post by: nanaimovwclub on April 02, 2011, 06:34:10 PM: Thanks for all the support, we will be out for the Great Canadian. There is a car show coming up in Parksville/Qualicum, its not a vw show but all cars are welcome to join. We will be at the car show and joining the A&W cruise.

Every year the Seaside Cruizers host a Father’s Day Show ‘n Shine in the town of Qualicum Beach on Vancouver Island. This is such a great show that it was mentioned on Oprah as one of the 10 best things to do on Father’s Day.

The whole town is wired for sound and music from the 50′s and 60′s happens at the Sunday show. The Lions Club put on a pancake breakfast in the morning, and the Rotary Club serve up burgers, and refreshments all day long.

There are trophies galore and lots of prizes are given out to spectators so listen closely to the MC at the main stage and you could be a winner. The village is wide open and many shops feature talented local artisans and if you love antiquing you’ve come to the right place.

It all starts on Friday at the Parksville A&W.
