Title: FS: 1958 Beetle

My Beetle is a local 1958 Cdn Deluxe Beetle originally purchased at Larson’s Motors in Chilliwack. I bought it stock a few years back and have since done a 12v conversion and had it lowered by Geoff P and the crew back when Airspeed was still open. Suspension was upgraded to a 3” narrowed beam with airspeed sway bar. More recently the motor was upgraded to a strong running 1641cc with dual 44mm dells, 110 Engle cam and rides on new 5 spoke replica’s and rubber… tires have literally less than 1000 km on them. The gear box is a later style full syncho swing axle. The interior of the car is near mint with carpet from West Coast metric and there is no rust anywhere on the body or pan of the car. Included in the sale of the car will the 1200cc 6v motor (yes it runs) w/ 6v starter along with the original steel wheels that came with the car. So… if you want to take the route and go back to stock down the road, you have that option.  Paint is the original L87 pearl white and is in decent shape.

Only known “minor” issue is that the idle jets on the carbs are apparently too big and will have to be replaced with smaller ones…otherwise the car goes! The car has been stored in a dry garage 365 days a year since I’ve owned it.

As mentioned, it is a local car and I hope it will stay here in BC vs heading south.

Looks like a VERY presentable car Tom!

However I believe the car is a deluxe hardtop rather than a standard because of the chrome on the dash, vent windows, exterior windows, seat rails, ivory interior knobs, etc.. which is a great thing!
