shameless plug... ;)
i drove out to AVR today and picked up issue #03 of airmighty (the one with ken kings bd on the cover) and this magazine is awesome!!! incredibly detailed pics, good coverage of events (classic, scc, mooneyes show, le bug show), cool feature cars (kens bd, jerfabs patinaed 59, some nasty outlaw 356, slammed thing), good write ups and good layout. plus the mag covers 3 different languages and has multiple contributors that dont speak english as their 1st language so you'll get a few chuckles when reading some of the german/french/belgium slang translated into english! ;D
over all it's a bit spendy...but you're paying for quality and if you break it down it's not too expensive. over 160 thick, glossy pages with very few adds and alot of beautifull cars shot with a keen & original eye in spectacular settings!! this mag is kind of advertised as the aircooled version of rodders journal...and the comparisons are very similar!!
i've got nothing to gain here, i just wanted to rave about a cool mag and maybe let some folks know about another outlet to explore to get your vw & porsche fix. call AVR if you're interested, they can probably help you get your hands on an issue...or check out airmighty's website for more info...

I bought Issue 00 at AVR last April and you're right Silas, very much the quality of the Rodders Journal. Airmighty, like the Journal is expensive by monthly standards but it's only quarterly and the photography and production is top notch with extended coverage you don't often see in monthly's.
Any chance of back issues thru AVR Rob? If so I'll take 01 to date please.
Then put me on the "hold list" for all future editions.

yup...i told ya it was spendy... ;)
but it's like rad356rs said...it's quarterly so it only hurts 4 times a year. and if you compare the quality/content/cost to the other mags on the market you're getting really good bang for your buck!
also...i tell ya...it's been awhile since i've picked up a mag and read it cover to cover without putting it down AND consistently go back for more after a few hours passed...and this mag has done it!! :cool:

I just saw that a new issue is about to come out. Issue #04 - 2011.
Once they are actually ready forsale I will pm to gage interest and get them in.

Just received our latest shipment of Air Mighty Magazines.
I have 2 copies of the 2010 Pictorial, 2 copies of issue 01, 2 copies of issue 02, 5 copies of issue 03 and 8 copies of issue 04 (latest)

We just received our order of Air Mighty Megascene with the latest issue #5.
Also have a few copies left of the previous issues 1, 3, 4 and the 2010 Pictorial.
