i found a old Bc plate, is anyone know if i an use it?
-
You can use it as guy-type art on your garage wall. Nothing else.
There's one section in the MVA that says you can't have anything on your car that looks like a licence plate other than the one currently registered to your car. IOW, those watercooled guys that have a German licence plate below or under their BC tag are in violation of the law.

shouldn't the water-cooled guys with 93 and newer technically be using mexican and brazillian licsense plates and not german ones? :D

You're right.
I remember a few years back when us Aircooled guys were asked NOT to attend the All German car show at Waterfront Park in N.Van. I pointed out to the organizers a few Mexican cars in attendance.

I ran a 65 plate on the front of my Beetle for about 10 yrs as a daily driver with no problems. I think as long as the cops are not dicks and you don't act like one you can get away with it most of the time.

Ive been running a 63 BC plate on the front of my car for about ten years. They bug me about it at the boarder everytime I come back into Canada so now I keep the new one under the front seat and just hold it against the windsheild as I go through and they are fine with that. The cops never seem to bug me about it. The cars only on the road three months of the year. Might be a different story now that the cops have lic plate recognition systems in some of the cars now.

What does 1993 have to do with anything ?
Vw has been building VWs in Mexico since 1967 and elsewhere other then Germany forever, way before 1993 and way after. Whats so special about 1993 ?
