Title: Alignment
Post by: Billyisgr8 on May 13, 2004, 05:02:22 PM
For those of us who live on this side of the Port-man and don't want to drive into Vancouver for a good alignment.... Dales alignment in Langley just did my car today.  Every bolt had to be heated up with a torch and it took about 2 hours of actual work time while I watched and chated, there was no slakin, this was straight time.

My car was 1\" total difference  out in the back which is huge, and is now 3/32 difference.  front was 5/8\" difference between and is now 1/8\".

Awsome new computer program all done by sensors on the computer screen, amazing.

Cost me $100.00 + tax

I thought this was pretty good since a 4 wheel alignment should cost $69.00 and be done in 30 min.

Dales alignment  604-530-9160                # 108-19415 56 ave

If only my T4 was still in the car, I bet I would be very close to a 15.00 second 1/4 mile now.  I figure this should have knocked off a 1/2  second forsure.

They also have ramps to accomodate LOW vehicles.

Just make sure to phone in first and make an appointment, and tell them if you have ever had an alignment done, or you have pre-loosened all the bolts first.  If not expect it to take up to 2 hours like mine.

Talk to Darryl

Had to bump this up again. Took my bug out this morning to have the four wheel alignment done. Darryl is a great guy and did an awesome job on the bug.

Of course most of the conversation was around the 80's and the Hawaiian look that Darryl owned.

Good service and friendly guys, definetly recommend them for anyone needing an alignment.

That is a kick ass price - they didn't mind the stance of the car or the narrowed beam?

Oblong holes on the springplates to let the 3 bolts slide forward or back

Crap!
I forgot to bump this one up too.

Dales Alignment did my car last week and I was VERY impressed.
I wouldn't hesitate sending any type of car their way but it's nice know some local shop that \"knows\" VW's and will actually take the time to work on them and explain what they did.

Well just had my alignment completed by Darryl @ Dales Alignment.

They wanted me to mention that now would be the best time to get your alignment done, as the shop is just about to gear up for the busiest time of the year.(https://airspeedparts.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.pbase.com%2Fenart%2Fimage%2F40878726.jpg&hash=7898f987c289af75bfcdf68ffa0ddbefd9608e21)(https://airspeedparts.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.pbase.com%2Fenart%2Fimage%2F40881282.jpg&hash=6c9cab7a0f3923e711f981e44d0d3f886447f2d1)(https://airspeedparts.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.pbase.com%2Fenart%2Fimage%2F40881276.jpg&hash=987c403c7ad37b5b693f775e3fc482ef41f8f741)

This is Darryl from Dale's Alignment.  I have been out of the VW scene for some time now but actually like workin on the old stuff.  I really appreciate the good news about our shop.  It is important to call and book an appointment because some alignments go smooth and some don't.  If it's an old VW, they usually don't...haha.  I need the time and don't want to feel rushed when I get the car up on the rack.  If our parking lot is full of cars that have booked appointments and I run into a problem, well I'm screwed.  Capiche.
