Title: Cold air intake for my van
Post by: daveian on October 16, 2010, 02:19:56 PM
Hiyall,

Dave here from Kelowna.

Got me a sweet old 62 VW van from my uncle. He was the first owner, and its in pretty mint shape just a bit of rust on the nose. Im gonna strip all the interior out and fit it with a sweet Chevy boogie van interior i got off my buddy. Im also gonna brighten up the hellishly dull exterior with a repsray in some Ferrari red color.

Some questions for ya: How do i fit a cold air intake to this puppy? Im gonna drill a 3" hole in the sides for a hose to connect to the carby, whadya think?

Im also thinkin of putting in a sunroof. Will a sawzall make a nice enuf hole, or would a cutoff disk on my grinder be better?

Thanks for all yer answers, and i look forward to meetin you guys :)

Dave

Make sure you cut out the rear fender wells to accommodate the giant Desert Dueler mud tires....
