Title: Used tool store

Does anyone, know of a place that buys used tools? Ny guys are calling me a Hoarder.. As I just cant throw out a used tool because we got new ones... Some working some not..
I just want to get rid of the lump some to one person or place. I tried looking up such a shop. One does not exist... Would be great business venture

Try calling the school's LSS and D.W Poppy.They used to buy used tools for the automotive dept. Now, with all the stolen property out there they might not anymore.

You could build your karma points and donate some of them to Habitat for Humanity

A local avionic's company that I work for did that.They gave them away to anyone in that particular area, they could sell them themselves. I should of been more clearer my sincere applogies VWChris. I edited it for you...

I think the big issue for Shane is the LARGE LOT of tools that would have to be placed on craigslist

Time to have a big garage sale and whats left over donate to some charity. Just my 2 cents.

KMS used to have a clearance dept where they would take tools on consignment or trade. havent  been there in a while since I buy most my tools from the tool trucks so I dunno if they still offer that or n

pawn shop...or kms (like matt said)...craigslist (1 pic, 1 list, 1 reasonable price, buyer takes everything)...

but imho it really matters on how much they mean to you & how much they are worth to you? will it be worth the time it takes to pursue a venture like above.

i really like the ideas that were mentioned about donating them to an organization. great way to help others and help yourself get rid of it all in one lump sum.
