Title: cheap video cameras...

i'm thinking about getting a bare bones, no bells & whistles, point & shoot video camera.

one that takes memory cards, has a reasonable to long battery life and shoots hd would be nice.

best buy has a bunch for +/- $200.

does anyone have anything good or bad to say about the cams they sell (brand, style, longevity, etc)....?

Buy one and try it out.. Sony has been the best for me in regards to low light.. if you're taping a party or something.. you'll get a soupy look if the camera's sensor can't keep up.
 They've definitely come down in price a HUGE amount in the past 3 years..
