Title: Wheel refurbishment
Post by: Alp on June 08, 2010, 03:32:40 PM
Had some wheels of mine done at Green's recently.  The paint and polish looked good but they cleared the wheel when I didn't want it.  The clear has tons of flaws like bubbles and even black paint flakes!!  I pointed this out when paying and they said to leave them or bring them back and they would take of it.  I said I would want the clear removed and not replaced.  Will post after they redo them again.

Can't say anything bad except they let these wheels leave the shop!  They say they will take care of it so I think I am okay.  How's the race car coming along?

That looks like crap..hope 2nd time around works out better for you. What are you putting those on?
I had Al Reed do my Fuchs; it was well worth the extra time for shipping and hassle with customs.

gotta keep people guessing.......these will fit a few projects cars I have so I may just swap them around as the cars get finished.  I have a set of Cosmics for every type of car I have.  2 sets for my Datsuns, 1 set for my BMW 2002, and now this set for my VW's.

so picked up the wheels after getting the clear coat removed and they are a lot better.  Still have imperfections but they don't stand out like they did with the clear coat.

Well I'm sure I have a vehicle that those imperfections would go great with. ;D If you are not happy with them I sure I have something to trade (Ha)
