I picked up some rear seats for my car, and found that one of the under the seat mounting pieces was missing. Not likely anyone has a spare one as they probably go missing fairly often. Not sure if it could be fabricated easily enough as it looks like it might have been a pressed part originally. Any ideas?

Cut the shape out of flat steel, then with a small sliver of the same gage steel bend it around to form the lip, then take it to someone with a tig and some skill...
Do the timely stuff and maybe a case of beer will cover the cost of the weld work.
good luck.
BTW it may only take a few extra minutes to fab up a few extra that you can later sell.

if you need something fabed , give me an e-mail and we'll see what can be done.I work in a metal shop shop in poco with all the gear.

.... then with a small sliver of the same gage steel ....
Sounds good, but it won't work. That small sliver will instantly melt into oblivion when you try to weld it.

I can make that, no problem.

Thanks all, just waiting to hear back if the guy I got the seats from can find the missing piece at home. Hopefully I won't have to make it, but nice to know there's options.

I've put a few pics in the gallery in the misc. area. It seems about 2 1/4 inches long, curved to the contour of the seat bar, the inside depth is about 7/16" the curved part is about 1" the bar part about 1 1/2". I know hard to visualize....
