Title: Clutch tube mount
Post by: Thomas on May 27, 2010, 10:52:51 AM
I picked up a factory rebuild swing axle tranny and the only differance I noticed was the clutch tube holder is not part of side plate. Should I use the side plate from my trans or try and find a bolt on bracket used on newer swing axles. Also where does the backup switch mount on this tranny. Thanks Thomas

You should get the bracket from a later gearbox.  I'm sure CIP sells it too.
You can't swap the side covers, that would alter the bearing preload, and the ring gear backlash.
