Title: readucion box removal

How do I remove reduction box housing from axle tube? Ive striped the box so it is just the housing but it still wont come off.

Is there a reason your removing the boxes from the tube?

I ask only because I did have a few customers who thought they could remove them and run them without by changing the axles and ends to a beetle style (they didnt know that they would have to flip the ring gear)

yes .. i just bought this buggy (unassembled) and noticed the boxes are diffrent left and right... the right one is set a small nut that is from a 1960 bus the one on the left is unknown orgin and is a diffrent ratio reduction... I want to get a box the same as the one on the right because Ive got all the other hardware (backing plate  , brakes ext) to get this thing going.
