Drag Racing at Mission Raceways on Friday, August 6th! Gates open at 5:00pm and racing runs until dark. Open to all VW's (Air & H2O) and any other street cars that pass tech. Stock VW motor challenge class will be back once again this year (sponsored by Zündfolge Car Club)

Join us Saturday, August 7th at Westminster VW, 2555 Barnet Highway Coquitlam, BC @10:00am for a full day of VW action. Enjoy a Show & Shine, pancake Breakfast, Awards from the Friday Drag night and Cruise throughout the local area.
Then later that evening

The Great Canadian Volkswagen Show will welcome approximately 5000 car enthusiasts and their families to Coquitlam’s Town Centre Park.
Air cooled and water cooled, new and old will be on display and ready for judging throughout the park. Families can enjoy taking part in a variety of activities and vendors will be showcasing what’s hot on the market. As a sponsor of the event, this is your opportunity to have face to face interaction with customers, new and old.
Western Canada's largest VW event attracts some of the finest Stock and Custom VWs from around the Pacific Northwest, including many past and present Hot VWs Magazine feature cars (18+ cars shot at past GCVW shows). Over 60 awards in 23 Classes. All types of VWs in any condition welcome. pre-registration @ www.gcvws.com (http://www.gcvws.com). Dealer Displays, Swap Area, 50/50 Draw, Trivia Contests and more...an entire day of VW fun for the whole family! [At Coquitlam Town Centre Park, Coquitlam]
Entry to the show is free for spectators. The fee for displaying your VW is $25 CAD Save $5 on your show shirt by using the pre reg forms at www.gcvws.com (http://www.gcvws.com). Space cannot be reserved or guaranteed on show day. Registration takes place from 8am to 11am on show day.
Swap Meet Area spaces are available for every type of VW parts vendor. We offer small private (15' x 15') swap spaces for $40. For dealer displays and new product vendor areas, please contact the show administrator to pre-register (no day-of-show registration). Swap setup opens at 7am and closes when space is filled (on a first come, first-served basis) and is usually full by 10am.

We had big debates on the dates that would work and this date seemed to work best for most... So Chris please stop your life to attend...It is the GREAT CANADIAN after all and you will have something to show everyone....

Aug 6-8th. That sucks for me. I am driving my car down to Reno for Hot August Nights that week. If the car wasnt already registered and paid for in the show, I would seriously thing of ditching it. Have a great show guys.

Awwwwwww crap. This will be the first one I have to miss. I am shooting a wedding on the 6th in vancouver, followed by my cousins wedding in Kelowna on the 7th. Seriosuly, I was banking on the old dates(being the weekend of the 13th, 14th, 15th, or 20th, 21st, 22nd). Why the change? argh!

It's because of the street legal race dates, Andrew.
Although, the way we were treated last summer, I'm wondering if it's worth it to alter the date.

Yeah Shane, We did it in 2008. Killer road trip, one of the best Hot Rod shows Ive ever been to. Definately the best swap meet. Worth the drive and lots of fun. We were on the waiting list to actually enter the show, got in this year. You get to do a lot more if you are registered, cruises, shows and special events.

The show is in the same location as last year aug 5-8th weekend. We are working on the list of events and locations now.

I am going to be coming up from SoCal. Maybe a couple of us OFF car club members. I was hoping to register as the Hot VW Magazine thing told me, but can not find a registration place (guess I am just dumb). Can you give me a number for the host hotel? Please, and tell me how to pre-register.
