Title: Anyone on the forum have a Westfalia with collector plates?

Just wondering if ICBC allows collector plates on Westys. Anyone know anything about the criteria with regards to this?

There's a couple on the Samba who's usernames I can't recall at the moment, the only issue is if it's currently registered as a motorhome it doesn't qualify, get your insurance agent to change the registration to call it a bus, van, campmobile, multipurpose passenger vehicle or whatever before applying.

If this is for your 76 westy there should be no problem based on the pics you have posted.  Here is the link and from that you can print off the application form.  The steps are clearly laid out.  You can give them a call in advance of the application to make sure you have done everything that is required.

I dealt with these folks during the process of getting my rail buggy approved for the street and they were very helpful.  They walked me through the various steps and I had no problems.

Good luck.
