They should at least give the original owner (if still alive) the option of buy it back at a reasonable price.

There's been a follow up story.  The original owner has contacted the insurance co.  Her kid has said he'd like to get it.  Then he wants to put a Porsche motor in it. ::) :'( :o >:(

I hope they don't get it.

I also heard that the upholstery place that did some work on it 35 years ago is under investigation.  :police: The plot thickens.
