Look at what the sport compact class has for the top 10 places the last race of the year :o
What are everyones goals for next year? How many 10, 11 and 12 second cars will we have? Sport compacts are running way faster than before. What are we bringing?
I will be adding 80 ish hp to what I have by upping the boost from 11 to 20 so my best run of 12.4 will become a mid 11 ish, and the new tranny should knock off another 2 tenths from that too, so for me maybe a low to mid 11.
List what you guys are all doing so we can read. Maybe post pictures between now and next season to keep everyone pumped for next year too.
Other than a roll bar modification next week, my car won't be having anything done to it till February ish, which is adding a 6 rib tranny, a fuel cell, and a few other odds and ends, been toying around with adding electric fans instead of the fan shroud, thats my biggest debate I'm having right now in my mind.

you've ran a 12.4 in that car??

Only in the world of corection factors, and to add to even being faster for my time, I downloaded my data from the data logger, and I was richer than 10.3 ( as rich as my datalogger will record) for all of that run , so by leaning it out to 11.5 ish I will also pick up more hp....which then is a quicker et too. I left my jetting where it was set at mission and did not lean it out for the elevation which is also why I think the 14.7 pound spring only boosted 11 psi...too rich.
this is from my post in another thread below....
I have some good exciting news for me anyway, regarding my run against the GT-R and my time of 8.101 @ 86.7 mph..... speaking in the world of NHRA correction factors an for elevation which is at 4300', and not what the air was at that evening just straight #'s from the sheet, I would have ran a 7.93 @ 88.44 mph 1/8 mile if I was at Mission and the air was at regular elevation. Converting that and we get
Your 1/4 Mile ET is 12.44 seconds computed from your vehicle 1/8th ET of 7.93 seconds.
Your 1/4 Mile MPH is 109.67 MPH computed from your vehicle 1/8th MPH of 88.44 MPH
My 60' on that run was 1.819, slicks at 25+ psi.

i can appreciate your enthusiasm for racing,
but ET bench racing based on what ifs and calculations etc etc is just that ,bench racing B.S .
speaking from experience its not as easy as one thinks .if it was ,everyone running a 2332 would be running low 12's .and everyone with a turbo would be in the 11's ,but there not.
myself i seam to have got the motor to were i need it but know i have no choice but to upgrade in the tranny area ,should save some weight and save me 1 gear change as well which should help

definitly not easy, that is what makes bench racing so fun.... ;D
See you next year on the track.

there is a fine line between bench racing and bench dreaming! ;)

I am willing to blow it up, so you will see a 11 second singleport one day ;D ;D

I had to bring up this old post and continue where I left off,
I didn't have to blow it up after all. it only took the 14.7 pound spring to get the 11 second slip. Then switched the 28mm venturis to 33mm vents, and voila with the same 14.7 pound spring I am at the low to mid 11s based on the 7.225 @ 96mph 1/8 mile I just ran yesterday. I had planned to boost this motor to 20 psi, thats still another 50 hp. that psi will have to come slowly, cause I need to see if the float bowl will stay filled in a 1/4 mile run. But for now, staying with the 14.7 pound spring will be fun to get a bunch of runs at this setting so I can be consistant in the launch. I would expect the stock tranny to give up very soon, now my best 60 ' so far is 1.63. Consistancy with the 4 puck and stage 2 has not been there in my 60's, either bog, or spin the tires. So I aired down the slicks to 16 pounds, and retarded the timing by 15 degrees on the launch to build more boost , kept the 6000 rpm at launch and the next pass I was rewarded with the 1.63. I am shocked every pass the tranny still hanging in there. Still didn't put on my antishocker yet. I would like to for the great canadain run the 20 psi and maybe even get a 10 second slip, now thats a dream. So for now till then thats what I will be working on. Consistency, and upping the boost slowly. Oh and for the tranny, my 6 rib is just sitting as a core still, and instead decided to use a gusseted dogleg SSC tranny for the next transmission after the stock one dies.
haha 10 second singleport lol_hitting

your right, hopefully I won't be in the 11's for long, I'll be in the 10's ;D
Sorry couldn't resist, I'm really hopeing your car will be ready for the GC so we can go head to head if your car will be done.

Yup I agree, the only slip that counts is a full 1/4 mile slip..............so get that bitch to a real track and lets see some killer times.
