Title: six rib starter issue

Putting a 1974 six rib bus tranny in my buggy,every starter I try is 1/2 short of hitting flywheel..Help

what you have there is a 2litre bellhouseing on that gear box. all you do is change the bellhouseing to an early one.73 down should do it. cheers

Input shaft too..... or just get a 76+ bus starter ;)
