I am looking at buying a different shifter for the notch. In the past on other cars I have had the empi shifter with the black ball, the scat drag fast and the flat four eliminator. I am unimpressed with the accuracy and feel of any of them so far. I am thinking about biting the bullet on a CSP shifter with the thought that "you get what you pay for" however, I have no intimate knowledge of experience with them......does anyone here?????

Not DVKK but I love my Berg. If you wernt such a cheap bastard, Thats what I would suggest.

well going with a CSP is a definite step above being a cheap bastard, maybe go try out the one in the rusto-cal, I think its still in there, I like the look and feel of them

When it comess to shifters, and the way they feel and shift, a lot has to do with the condition of the linkage, and how tite the bushings are. Thats why the burg shifters come with a new bushing. They know that good shifting, is more than just a good shift stick.
Best regards, Jeff Sanderson

i've had 2 bergs some love 'em others don't like the sharp corners of the T handle.
CSP look nice but i've read some good things about the new bugpack for a good deal

There is also a new style shifter called the "black mamba" that I have seen on the Samba. Kinda high tech looking but havnt heard too much about them.
Theres also a old Berg shifter sitting in a certain car that Im waiting for. :-*

ahhh good point. No worries. Found a shifter!!!!! Great deal too. ;) You think you can make me a black shift boot for it. This grey one doesn't really match my interior Brian.
