get a big ass snap ring tool... go to kms tools... they got a few there.. but not cheap

Got mine at Crappy Tire. I intend on taking them back when they start to slip off.

I use some cheap needle nose pliers. I bought them for a couple of bucks. And ground some small grooves near the tips, to grab onto the holes in the snap ring. I didn't expect them to last very long, but they turned out to work really well, and I still use them after many years.

Kirin: I bought two pairs of cheap and nasty snap ring pliers and both broke the tips off. I ended up doing what Cameron said. Pair of needle nose with filed points. Worked great!

Going to have to try that.. And some good old arm muscle and I'm a rocking:P

I picked up a set of extra long convertable snap ring pliers. Once I got them set up(From KMS tools) I got the rings out in literally 20 seconds..

went to Midland Liquidators and bought a pair of heavy duty snap ring pliers for 18 bucks(i recall). I think the brand is CANPRO. Extremely strong and dirt cheap. My Lighter duty snap ring pliers from Snap-on didn't work at all.
