Title: Factory tach on a '59 Beetle?

Didn't know they existed... anybody has a picture of what they look like? Just curious...

i've never seen a factory tach that looked like that that was mounted in that position. in fact..i never seen a bone stock beetle come from the factory with any sort of tach. i thought the closest we got to a tach was the red dashes on the speedo marking when the optimal time to shift is.

perhaps a dealer option but i think even that's a stretch.

probably installed by a previous owner.

i could be wrong tho.

Ya, right.  And the factory screwed it onto the dash above the radio just like the ricers do today.
