Title: Anybody know what this is off ?

First off sorry for the huge picture file size I am inept at this picture hosting stuff . Anyways I am digging through my junk and found this , if you can make out the picture let me know what you think its off , I know its some kind of flip down shelf , I was told its off a VW so maybe its a Westy accessory I just don't know for sure .

Looks like the magazine holder to attach to the back of the front seats.

A magazine holder ? I never thought of that , I forgot to mention the hinges are spring loaded making the shelf flip up when it has no weight on it . Does that change anything ?
