Title: J Tube Or Not

Went in engine tech but no one seemed to notice. Don't need heat in van wanted to run J tubes instead of heater boxes ,Pros and cons ? Motor run hoter or cooler ? block off pre heat hoses ? what about cooling deflection tin underneath usaully attached to heater boxes .? Any info would be appreciated . Running stock 1600dp

Hey O.K. , how's it going?  I don't think it would make or break anything. I do remember once hearing the opinion that the fan housing plugs should have a small hole drilled into them to keep a small amount of air flow like the heater box's do. Anyone else hear of this?
 and I'm sure you will also plug all the other holes in the rear tin?

Thanks Hans ! Seems to be a hard question to get an answer on . Sounds like you had a good time at the dunes . You will have to post some more pics. Goy my rockers from airspeed last weekend should be installed next month ,engine bay sprayed dove blue , and motor close to going in .
