It would appear that my nephew has hit that fun age where he's just started to play with hotwheels. Uncle Who (Hey, it's Uncle Dave! "Uncle who?") lives on the other-side of the country, but I'll be heading back in a few weeks for a quick visit. Obviously I'll be scouring walmart, etc. for VW based hotwheels, but I'm wondering if any parents out there can suggest some good Hotwheels tracks?
I was thinking the 4-lane raceway could be good...anyone own one?
Other suggestions?

The new ones all pretty much suck.. If you can score some orginal track.. buy and sell, craigslist.. WAY better.. Plus a bit of collectable point to it too.

My 6 year old has a bunch of the "newer" sets and I agree they all suck. In fact so much so that my son never played with them and we gave them all away. Least I think we did......

I agree, the old, simple stuff get's played with, the new sets with the crazy jumps and motorized crap are in style for a week and get kicked to the curb. And the noise and battery appetite :o
A good old staircase clamp, a loop and 10'+ of track and they are good to go.

HEREHERE!!! I have two sons, they keep themselves amused for HOURS.. Track up the top of the upstairs hall door, down two sets of stairs. Or off bunkbeds.
Toys traders in Langley also sells 'retro' sets.. Not quite the same, but whole hell of a lot better than the new stuff.
Oh.. and the new noisey ones always end up getting sent to 'grammas'.. lol

The problem with used or retro is that I need to find something I can buy once I land in Toronto. Doing a few flights, so I need to buy there...
