Ok heres the story..My best friend had a 1956 speedster replica kit car built up in 1980..He was a mech and kept in runnning great ..He passed away 3 years ago leaving just his mom , he was an only child..So me being close with his mom things kinda fall to me to make happen ..She decided that it was time to try and get the little car running only to find out that the motor was done..So I need help trying to source a motor ..It was built on a 1980 bug frame..My buddy had a 2100cc duel webber motor in it but she just wants to go to something a little tamer..Can anyone point me in the direction of  somewere I can get a good price on a motor..I have someone who is a vw tech who said he would do it if I can provide the motor but with him it will be a side project and will take a while..Or maybe somone knows a good shop that can give me a price on the whole thing ?? I appreciate any help and advice ..

Thanks guys

Any idea what a stock 1600cc motor is worth?? She just wants it to be a reliable little driver for the times in the summer she takes it out..Or what is the best size motor to go with?

I have a 1600 DP taken out of a car on a swap to a larger one.
I could probably have it installed in New West if you want to look at this possibility. ;D
Airjack.    pm me.
