Title: Nitrated Engine Parts....are They Worth The Money?
Post by: onevwnut_99 on March 11, 2004, 12:46:11 PM
OK, guys.  Here's my question.  Is the extra cost for Nitrated Cranks and stuff worth it?  What advantages are there for using them in a street engine, if any.

When a crank is Nitrated it is a hardening of the surface (rod and main journals) This is a good idea on a motor your spending a lot of cash on. You dont want to hurt a journal on a big stroke crank $$$$ Also good on all small motors as well.
All out DPR forged welded cranks are Nitrated.
