Title: Wtb: Ghia Parts
Post by: dkall on April 07, 2008, 09:00:15 AM
I'm looking for a decent/useable nose section or complete  front wrap for a 69 ghia I'm restoring. I would also consider buying a rolling shell. It doesn't matter if it is a newer 70-74 style. Hoping to find something within a day's drive of Kamloops. Any help or contacts  greatly appreciated.

What parts of the nose do you need exactly?  I have parted a 1960 coupe, the nose ridge is nearly perfect but the rest is not so nice, send me a message if you would like pictures.

Well, if it's still there, it's easy for me to go and take a look at it. If it's not too rusty, it's easily repairable. The one on mine is not. Thanks for the tip.

I went and checked out the car mentioned above. It's not worth dragging home, in my opinion. The pan might (as in it's possible) be ok, eg the suspension transaxle etc, but the body is really rough. The whole nose is bondo that is rusting from behind.  In any case, the guy in the office said he would let it go for $250 if anyone is interested. Thanks for letting me know about it though - funny how stuff turns up in your backyard sometimes.

Yeah they are around.  I know there is one rusting away in my neighborhood somewhere,  I will keep my eye out.  Theres a shop in Langley I think its the bug shop hes got a doner car I got some parts off it, However, I didn't see it though and I don't have the Bug Shops number anymore.  But you could give it a shot.

Before the forum crashed I was talking to you about your Ghia.  I was under a diff name vduballstar.  Did you say that you had a Ghia that running and in good shape?  If so would you rent it to me for pics for my wedding.  I'm getting married in exactly a month today at the South Thompson Inn and Guest Ranch.  I would only need you to drive the car out there for a few pics and that's it.  We were hoping to have mine done for the wedding but not even close.  Let me know, and we will make it worth while for you to go out there
Thanks
Jeremy
