Contacted Pete @ airkweld and he mentioned that they were going to have a kit available for Bay type 2s in a month or so...
Dammn, the wife would never suspect!
;) :P :(
Check it out http://www.airkewld.com/ (http://www.airkewld.com/)

airkewld is a rip off..............
if you look at their beetle kits, their front set up is nothing more than a monroe style airshock. I would check out www.bert3.be for a cool custom airbag install on a type 3 to get ideas or www.airbagit.com for some way cheaper full bolt on kits that use bags and not shocks. or if you want to put together airkewld type money but want top of the line quality www.ridetech.com sells shockwaves (well, invented them) which are an all inclusive airbag surrounding a shock absorber. These will more than handle a bus.

Nate, in Oregon (advertises on the samba alot) does some crazy air bag stuff.
He has a 7\" drop spindle for bay buses! YEAH. 7\" !!! I think you'll have to tub it, (I'm pretty sure or you'll have a 800' turning radius).

anybody ever heard of what kind of quality Nate does?? I've seen some bashing of his character on the Samba forums but never heard of the quality of his work.

Another option is California Tire in Langley (near aircare) they carry airbags setup's and Harry is familiar with Vw's - they might be able to hook you up.

I ordered spinles from Nate. Awesome! And he didn't charge me a core because I was in Edmonton and these things were mint.
3.5\" drop spindles (others are either 2.5-3\").
