Title: Aluminum Polishing / Welding / Anodizing
Post by: staceyz on March 14, 2008, 12:29:09 PM
Are there any shops around the Vancouver area that specialize in this? I need to get all the trim for my 58 deluxe done.

I believe the body trim was originally clear annodized, I have a set of stainless trim for mine, it's nice stuff, no doubt cheaper than having yours re-done

Ummm.... I think Stacey's referring to a bus, I only wish you could buy stainless trim.

Superior plating in Cloverdale can do the polish/anodize thing but I'm not sure on the welding, call em though, I'll bet they know someone who can.

Superior (Kaleb does great work), but has a long lead time right now. Just got my chrome back after 2 months...

Hey Stacey, if you are in Van, you can try Dependable Plating. They are close to Boundary/1st ave.

Ive dealt with Action plating in Surrey. They did a amazing job on my chrome trim on the side of my car when It accidentaly caught the inside of my pants and peeled off from the side of my car. It was twisted and bent. Thought I was screwed but they made it look like new.
Ive dealt with Dependable plating as well. Probably the cheapest ones around and they are just around the corner from my work! Good luck.

i am not sure  Superior does anodizing though.
i gather you are looking to have it clear anodized after having it polished?
if you can get the rest done and just need the anodizing done i have used surftech with good results

Thanks for the tips, looks like I'll have to take it to 2 places, polishing/welding the dings to one place, then surftech for the anodizing clear. Bus is going slow, I'm just slowly reassembling..
