? metal looks great on it, Id use it but I drive my car everyday... doesnt go I use it in the summer I suppose.

Why is the bottom a different colour?  Was the bottom spliced on?

1966 would make this a 1 year only decklid. not a bad price.

Hey, to be totally honest guys I don't what the hell it is off, not sure what year, etc etc, It came with the car.  thought I would throw it out there and see if anyone can use it.  I would trade it for some cool vw stuff also if anyone is into that, fog lamps, luggage rack, parcel tray.....

ps,
when I bought the car I was told it was worth like 400 bones... just thought someone might need it.  Ill have to take a look at to see what the splicing is all about, its at the girlfirend place in storage so I will let you know.

Shane, what you have there is a 65/66 convertible deck lid, complete with the inside rain tray.
I bought it from Airspeed Geoff and it was in good shape except for the bottom rust.
This was all cut off and a good section from another deck lid was welded on.
The hinge has been drilled for quick release pins.
Your Bug wants it and would like you to paint it in seablue #2 and put it on her, but if you must sell it it is a relatively rare piece. 65/66 only.

haha thanks Chris...I was thinking I might just have to paint it, not enough interest.  hope your well, and hope you got that nice bike...;)
