the pic is titled \"solvang 2008, CA\" and i found it while cruising thesamba.com gallery. i referenced it to a pic i had in my gallery and the only noticeable differences i see are the roof rack and the clear turn signal lenses.

Hey guys. I got a message from Jason to check out this post. Yes it seems to be the same car as I bought it from the guy in AB. It wasn't in the greatest shape when I got it but she cleans up real nice. The car is now down in Ventura County California. I put the rack on and did various other things. I get a lot of compliments on the car and untill Jason had contacted me I really did not know the history on it. He sent me some old photos before the body work and paint job. Anyone know where the emblems ended up? Anyway, I use it as my surf wagon and take it to the beach pretty regularly. Any additional history on the car would be appreciated such as when it was first sold, when it ended up on your forum, etc.

If you can get ahold of Hossier Dady on here he can prob give you all the info

before hoosier daddy owned it, It had been sitting in an back alley in burnaby for a long time possibly 10-15 years or so... I think thats about as much history as there is, maybe some of the old cip crew remember it before that...

Its cool to see the old Square being enjoyed by somone! I love that car. I think I have some old pics of it. If memory serves me right I believe that it was purchased from the owners son (he is taylor in Burnaby) I remember having to go over and get the ownership papers from him (twice :D ). It used be an automatic before a steady 70 MPH trip of 30 miles retired it. I'll try to dig up some old pics.

The square is running really well. I pretty much did an overhaul on the brakes and they are working well now. The clutch had to be adjusted but seems good now. Jason said that the tranny is a one off. Did you put it together? I get a lot of compliments on the wheels. Just bought two new tires today. Still have two Wanli tires on it that have not worn too bad. Had to bring the front up an inch and level it out. Was tired of hitting the bump stops. Still looks good though. It is way cool to hear from people that used to own it. I am really enjoying it as it is just a side fun car for me. Any pictures would be great. email is kyle.brantner@gmail.com
