Title: 55 Beetle Bowden Tube
Post by: volks14wagen on December 02, 2007, 06:32:50 PM
I have a very original 55 beetle which i am currently getting ready to drive very Rat look, and in tryin to adjust the clutch cable broke the end off so i went to replace it and the new cable will not fit threw the original bowden tube.So i bought a new one from CIP and am having a hell of a time gettin the old bowden tube out. I dont know if there is an easy solution or if i maybe just have to grind it out any help would be greatly appreciated...Thanks

If your car has the OG trans, then you can unbolt the bowden tube bracket from the trans in order to aid in removal/installation of the tube.
