Anybody here ever sold a vehicle to someone in the US?
I'm trying to figure out the proper steps to take in order to:
- get it through customs,
-arrange a transport,
-deal with a broker?
-and of course secure payment through the bank.......
if anyone here has any info please pass it on!!
thanks in advance

after you receive FULL payment, the shipping problem is the buyers problem not yours.
I ran into this when I sold one of my bikes to a fellow in San Diego. I was going to deliver the bike to a shipper in Blaine. I had all the paper work in order as per the U.S import except the new owner was not there in person. I then had to get a broker involved to get the bike across the line. The paper work was a royal pain in the ___!
Next time it is the buyers responsibility. That cost me a tonne of time and agrivation. I was trying to be helpful.

I gave the buyer all the info for the border and the name of a broker. I explained there would be a cost and had him pay for it all, drove it across the border, stopped at the broker, they checked some serial numbers and I drove it to seattle to meet him and have him pick it up. (paid for in full in advance!) No problem.
