Title: Compartment
Post by: sourkraut on February 23, 2004, 10:54:37 PM
I was just wondering if changing the rear end from one year to the next from the fire wall back changes the engine compartment at all like the depth or length at all.
thanks

depends on the year.

i think early beetles had less room in the engine compartment. thats why it is harder to stuff a bigger engine in a pre '60 car. someone will correct me if i'm wrong.

also, the rear apron and bumper mounts change slightly from mid 50's to early 60's. i dont know the exact years of change tho.

what year is your car and what year is the clip?

The side \"shelves\" and the aprons are the Only Differences that I have seen between a '46 all the way up to a '78
