pricing out a new project. other than the tranny which i know i need, what would i need to add to a buggy if i was to put the 2017 in it?
-
wheels, brakes, tires, seats, lights, windshield, electrical, carpet, steering wheel, etc. You can source most of this stuff at acvw.net
-
Depends on what your going to do with it.
-
its already built and set up for a normal engine, nothing special in the suspension.
i dont think the dual carbs on the engine are going to be to happy with major off road, so its pretty much not going to see anything worse than gravel, mostly a road buggy though
-
we take dual carbs off road everytime we hit the dunes.. ;)
-
everything i read says dual carbs are a pain off road because they get all out of tune from the vibrations
how do you guys deal with it?

We all run dual carbs! Never been an issue! Up hill down hill and through the air never had problems! Brent on 2 wheels at about 60 degree angle never has a problem!

reading the wrong book maybe ....
-
as long as everything is tight, has the correct washers, it shouldnt vibrate loose too often, you just need to check em once in a while....

good roll bar/cage
that motor will rip in a light buggy
-
ive got a design in my head for a 6 point cage with side bars.
apparantly i am reading the wrong books then lol. well i still dont expect to make it to the dunes very often, so its probably going to be limited to ripping down logging roads and the like
