Title: 78 Westy Tranny In A 73 Bus

hi

i have a 73 bus that i just picked up last week. it has an auto tranny in it, and i am thinking of converting to manual. i am looking at a 78 westy with a 2L and a manual tranny in it to pick for the parts. will this tanny bolt in to my bus? i am also concidering rebuilding the westy motor in the future to install as well.

while it did'nt tell me without a doubt whether that particular tranny (78  5 rib) would work in my bus (73)......it did raise the very good question of wether or not i should actually make the change. i am really leaning to keeping it the way it is now.
