Hey guys maybe you can help me out... The DC seems to be running quite rich ( heavy gas smell from the exhaust and poping upon deceleration) is this a simple matter of some carb adjusting? :D

1600DP stock intake and carb.

Yep.   Follow the instructions in the orange Bentley manual on the sequence of adjusting the 2 screws.
