Title: Boeing Surplus
Post by: Bruce on August 04, 2007, 09:51:17 PM
I was at BS today and found out they are shutting down the retail store south of Renton at the end of the year.  They said they are going to switch to either eBay sales, or their own online sales system.

never been there, is it worth a trip to see if b4 it closes?  Can you buy nuts & bolts (stainless?) bulk at a good price?

There has been no surplus/rejected fasteners for quite awhile, as they seemed to get back into the system  :o

Its selection has been going down hill as all the work gets out sourced.

actually the nuts and bolts stopped being offered because they were sued by a drag racer (funny car I believe) who was using their surplus.  He crashed because  (apparently) of a faulty fastener.
