you need a 1/4 mile long extention cord!!

My engine was just broken in yesterday, and hopefully will be in the car by the GC if shipping doesn't take forever . I'm crossing my fingers it will happen.
If it does, I will run 8 - 10 pounds boost and should have 220 + hp easy. I don't have a cage so don't really want to push it too hard to jeapordise myself. Definitly should be in the 11's though

just want to let people know that the 2nd running of the stock motor challenge will be happening during the great canadian dvkk stripshow at mission on that friday night. all stockers are encouraged to participate all in the name of fun and we should hopefully have stickers made up for the official 100kmh club for whoever breaks that barrier. B)
the only grudge-match that i've heard of so far will be in the smc and that will be shawn driving the bong bus against carlos in his rat panel.

I'm not racing this year. I've decided to retire the money pitt.

hey emilio, click the link below to read the rules of the smc...
http://www.freewebs.com/stockmotorchalleng...ge/smcrules.htm (http://www.freewebs.com/stockmotorchallenge/smcrules.htm)
to add to that, i had someone approach me and ask me if a mild port & polish of his stock heads on his stock displacement motor would qualify for the class. i said absolutley. imho, it's kind of splitting hairs. i'm thinking that there might be a bit of controversy over the rules, but i'm trying to keep it as simple and as attainable as possible for those of us that would like to try the 1/4 mile but dont have a bunch of time & money in our motors. the main idea is to get a bunch of people out to and on to the track for some fun times. damn i was going to try and make a pass in the buggy!

You'll have to clarify something for me. There is no way I can get my bus through inspection with only 12 \" of fuel line. It's more like 4' just to get to the fuel pump. Then another 12\" to the carb. Beyond that my TYPE 2 is ready for the challenge. (provided I get a powerplant reinstalled in time)

I have to say that as long as your lines are in good shape, and battery is mounted properly and there is no loose crap inside they will most likely pass you. But then again maybe they wont, but mine always did.

what's in that bad-boy?

hey todd. seeing as how i'm not as familiar with buses as i am with beetles, the other bus guys that have run at mission might be able to answer that for you (geoff in speedy, vwchris in his old bus, i think ian ran butterball when he owned it, i'm sure there are others too).
but, is it all rubber line or is some of it hard? i know my 64 has more than 12\"s of rubber line (tank to hard line, hard line to pump, pump to carb) but the tech guys didnt seem to pay to much attention to that. passing tech was easier than i thought. i told the tech guy i'm hoping for low 20's and he walked around the car and gave me a pass.
it would be great to see you run the bus. i know that there should be a few other buses out there this year.
congrats on making it home after the b-d. i hope the damage isnt too great.
