Erin lost the clutch on the way home from work friday.we were able to limp it home.
after removing the engine the clutch cross shaft that holds the throw out bearing is broken.(one arm is snapped off)
i think this is the kit i need

how hard are these to replace? i have never done one and erin is back from whitehorse monday and i would like to have it fixed.
i am assuming the trans does not have to come out that i should be able to get at it with the engine out correct?
thanks for any help guys

Not too hard at all, battling the spring is the tough part. There should be a set screw between the spring and the bellhousing, once it's out the bushing comes out and the shaft comes out from in the bellhousing.
I can't remember if bugs have a circlip as well.
-
yes bugs have circleclips too
-
yup they sure do
thanks for the reply it is swapped out and the engine is back in.
i will put the heater boxes back on tomorrow or friday and she should be good to go
