Seeing as I am going to travel through pretty much the entire province and the yukon with my new employer I thought I would chronicle my VW finds for those that might be interested in cars or parts that I come across (and that I don't grab myself)
I flew into Castlegar yesterday and proceeded to drive up to Revelstoke, along the drive I came across a place called Apple??? (can't recall but am going back that way on Friday) there was a bay window double cab and a bay window transporter sitting with long grass growing around them on the side of the freeway. If I can I will get an address and some pics on my return trip.
Also talking with one of my employees there is a Hippy mechanic that works mostly on VW's near an the office that I am going to tmrw and he had \"stacks\" of VW's laying around his yard... I am checking that out tmrw for sure!!!!
I only have my phone camera with me this time so pics won't be the best, I should have my SLR for the next trip which is next week to Fort St John and area....

OK... road to Bowers lake by bridge lake, early 60's beetle sitting beside barn with many other 50's old cars, seemed to be in a time warp out there.
Good thread to start James. You were by Revelstoke??? Any chance on going through Sicamous? Stop in for a snack if you are.

I am on my way to Osoyoos. Are there any places and/or wreckers worth checking out between here and there?
I know Puds in Osoyoos has VW's in his yard but every year I go there he won't let me in. Also the wrecker in Oliver had some VW's a few years back. Are there any in Princeton/Hedley/Keromeos/Cawston?
FYI, I just came back from Whitehorse and only found one wrecker in the area with VW's. They are called Sale (pronouced Sally). I manage to get a few parts for my 58. He currently has:
2 60's beetles
2 70's beetles
2 Split window buses
1 1971 Panel van

Ohya just remembered...at Spences bridge on the north East side about 2-4 houses away from the bridge was a split window van half under a tarp.

The organic mechanis is cool meet him about 18 years ago, like Shane says he knows he stuff but he is fair . Even been up to his house for some wicked dandelion ice tea . Worth a stop other than that things do seem picked over up here as there are vw junkies like us everywhere . Mike gordon ,Jason ,John from peachland have scoured it pretty good . James you can find some new stuff though right on  Whats with Oysoyoos even with mt wife and 2 kids and a family car he just told me to go away  Anyways as always James stop here if time to for a drink
I would like a bullet singlecab in good shape cheap Thanks keep your eyes out

Yup went by the organic mechanix today - www.organicmechanix.com - I walked up and a guy goes to me \"hey Jamie what brings you up here?\" I'm like WTF and out pops a dude I played soccer with for a dozen years growing up... small world.
I also stopped by that double cab today and grabbed some pics, it's complete and looks decent. No way of contact as there are no houses near it.... I grabbed pics but someone asked for dibbs so when he passes or takes I will post them.
