Title: Centrifugal Superchargers
Post by: Greg on July 04, 2007, 09:14:08 PM
Ok so I have a 2110 for my bus that needs a little more. I thought about Turboing it but theres already a turbo bus in Victoria, and I want to be a little different... So I'm figured I would put a centrifugal supercharger on it.

Is there a shop in Vancouver that anyone might suggest? Ive been looking around vic and havent found much.

Any ideas?

Thx Greg

You'll be doing a bunch of cutting to get a supercharger in there, how about nitrous if you want to be different - if that sounds good talk to Jim Martin.... I say go turbo, it's proven and you'll have local help/resources over there.

nitrous is dumb, I want power all the time

Yeah turbos proven, and can probably give me more power, but I want to do something different... Thats how I roll.

Im looking at a vortech one but I would like to find a used one....

the Corrado came with a G 60 Supercharger OUTKAST and it was only a 1.8liter 8 valve motor.  Although they had issues of burning up they would be about the right size for his application.  Sounds like fun Greg, keep us up to date.

Should be fun.... although It seems like its either insurance for my GTI or the compressor... Lets hope I can save me money.

It seems like it would be toooo hard, my plan is to mount it on the dizzy side of the engine but im a little worried about how far back the charger will sit, I think im am going to run into some clearance issues with the dog house.
