Title: Gas Heater..

Hey guys.
I'm getting a complete gas heater out of my friends 69 bug that he's parting out.. Has everything and currently it seems all is in good condition. The fanworks but we haven't tried to fire up the heater.. I have the bit that goes into the gas tank right now. Anyways I'm wondering what goes into installing such a thing? I know I need to get more details on what sort of heater it is etc.. but that will come with time.. Should be nice and now I can run J-pipes! and seal off my heaterchannels.

You might have to do some cutting to install it K....you know, weight reduction....

There are a set of instructions floating around somewhere...can't remember who had them...maybe I do?? I look around for you.

That heater will be a B2.

This one is out of a '70.  Its exactly the same except for the colour of the sheet metal.

Tricky buisness indeed Kirin!  You might want to get the heater to someone who really knows them to give it a real going over, they are sooo tempramental.  When I installed mine, I made a template of the holes that needed to be made on a sheet of cardboard by lineing it up to the heater, then too the dimensions off that and applied them to the car.  It worked like a charm!  Airspeed has a set of instructions you can borrow, hard as hell to read, but it'll give you a starting point.  Lost of info online on how to deal with these beasts.
